C. F. Martin & Co.® Celebrates Earth Day 2025 with New Guitar Launch

On April 22, 2025, C. F. Martin & Co.® marked Earth Day by unveiling its new D Biosphere III guitar and releasing an impactful annual report showcasing its commitment to environmental stewardship. This initiative highlights the company's ongoing dedication to producing exceptional musical instruments while safeguarding the natural world that inspires them.

Introducing the D Biosphere III: A Tribute to the Arctic

Each year, Martin celebrates Earth Day with the release of a special Biosphere guitar. This year’s model, the D Biosphere III, features stunning artwork by the renowned artist Robert Goetzl. The artwork depicts a polar bear and her cub resting under a vibrant sky, underscoring the connection between them and the precarious state of their Arctic environment. "It’s about the connection between mother and child," Goetzl states, emphasizing the uncertain future for wildlife in the face of climate change.

The D Biosphere III is constructed entirely of FSC®-certified woods, reflecting Martin's commitment to responsible sourcing. Featuring a certified Sitka spruce top, sapele back and sides, and embellished with European flamed maple binding, this guitar promises exceptional sound and aesthetic appeal. The elegant sapele dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard complete the instrument's exquisite design. To further support Arctic conservation, Martin has collaborated with Polar Bears International®, contributing significant funds to help protect polar bear habitats and promote climate research.

2024 Impact Report: Sustainability in Action

Martin Guitar’s commitment to sustainability is evident not just in its products but also in its philanthropic efforts. The company released its 2024 Impact Report alongside the guitar launch, detailing its progress across various environmental and community initiatives. Key achievements highlighted in the report include:
  • - Awarding 93 grants totaling over $500,000 through the Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation.
