Connecting Urban Life with Nature: Forest Link Vol.2 Exhibition in Otemachi Tower

Forest Link Vol.2 Exhibition: Uniting City Life and Nature

Starting from the urban forest, the "Forest Link Vol.2" exhibition will connect urban dwellers with forests across Japan. This event, organized by Tokyo Tatemono Co., will run for two days on May 14 and 15, 2026, at "Mori no Plaza," which is located in the basement of Otemachi Tower, directly accessible from Otemachi subway station.

The term ‘forest industry’ refers to the various services provided by forests, enhancing the relationship between people and woods while contributing to the income of forest owners and promoting sustainable forest management. With the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries recognizing forest industry advancement in its "Regional Future Co-Creation Strategy," it has become a crucial initiative for both cultural and ecological sustainability.

This exhibition aims to create opportunities for city residents to encounter and appreciate products made from forest resources, including wooden goods, aroma products, food items, and lifestyle goods. By leveraging the connection that Tokyo Tatemono has built with mountain villages and forest workers through operations in Otemachi, this event promotes awareness about the challenges and operations of rural forests among urban citizens.

Understanding Forest Link:

Tokyo Tatemono has initiated the "Forest Link" program to build a sustainable relationship between urban life and the forests of Japan. By using the urban forest of Otemachi as a backdrop, the program aims to establish a network that connects urban populations with the rural practices and challenges of forestry. It is specifically designed for city residents to gain insight into the workings of local forests and to engage with the products that maintain these natural landscapes. For exhibitors, this provides a chance for test marketing in urban areas, gaining customer feedback, sharing stories, and expanding distribution networks.

About Otemachi Tower and Mori no Plaza:

Otemachi Tower is an expansive mixed-use facility directly connected to Otemachi subway station. It hosts luxury offices, a commercial zone known as OOTEMORI, and the Aman Tokyo luxury hotel. The urban forest "Mori no Plaza," which occupies approximately a third of the site, serves multiple ecological functions, supporting various endangered species and mitigating heat island effects. Recognized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, the park has achieved the highest rating in the "Excellent Green Spaces Secured Plan Recognition System" as of March 2025.

Easy Access:

The venue is easily accessible via multiple subway lines, providing a convenient space for urban professionals to experience not only a marketplace for forest products but also a calming retreat embedded in nature.
