MetLife and Takarazuka City Join Forces for Life Design
On September 3, 2025, MetLife Insurance Company, under the leadership of CEO Dirk Osteen, formalized a partnership with Takarazuka City, located in Hyogo Prefecture. This collaboration aims to create opportunities for innovative life planning and financial literacy among citizens. This marks the fourth such agreement that MetLife has signed with local municipalities in Hyogo, following previous collaborations with the prefecture, Kobe, and Himeji Cities.
During the signing ceremony held at Takarazuka City Hall, Yoshinori Nose, the Regional Manager of MetLife's Western Japan Division, emphasized the importance of this initiative. He mentioned, “It is a meaningful endeavor for us as a life insurance company to convey the significance of life design and financial literacy, particularly to the younger generation. We hope to provide valuable learning opportunities through this agreement.”
Objectives of the Agreement
This partnership focuses on three primary areas of collaboration aimed at fostering a hopeful outlook and enabling citizens to visualize their future life plans:
1.
Seminars and Workshops: The agreement includes the organization of seminars and workshops that focus on life design and financial literacy tailored to citizens. These educational events will equip attendees with essential knowledge and tools to plan their lives and manage their finances effectively.
2.
Information Sharing: MetLife and Takarazuka City will facilitate the exchange of information regarding opportunities related to life design. This collaborative exchange is intended to enhance community awareness and enable residents to access resources that support their planning processes.
3.
Support for Civic Activities: The partnership also aims to provide assistance to local community organizations and city development councils engaged in promoting life design strategies. By collaborating with these grassroots initiatives, MetLife hopes to catalyze broader community engagement and empower citizens to take charge of their future.
