HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League Brings Excitement with Six Esports World Cup Spots

HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League: A Gateway to the Esports World Cup

On March 17, 2025, the highly anticipated HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL) was unveiled, celebrating Asia's premier multi-title esports tournament. Organized by Hero Esports, the leading player in the esports industry, this year's ACL will feature an exhilarating Teamfight Tactics tournament. Excitingly, six coveted slots for the upcoming Esports World Cup are up for grabs, igniting fierce competition among the top teams in the region.

Tournament Structure and Schedule

The tournament is set to commence on April 15 and continue until May 18, with a substantial total prize pool of $150,000. This year's format breaks new ground with a unique 4V4 team battle system—marking a shift from previous tournaments. This collaborative gameplay not only enhances the strategic element but also ensures a riveting spectator experience.

The ACL Teamfight Tactics Tournament is structured into three significant stages: Regional Qualifiers, Asian Challenge, and the ACL Grand Finals. Teams can register from March 23 to March 31, with a requirement of groups of four players. The competition will initially split into two regions: APAC and CN. The top eight teams from APAC and the top seven from CN will advance to the qualifiers, with team rankings determined by the accumulated points from their strongest three players based on various performances during the preceding three seasons.

In the Regional Qualifiers, four teams from each region will battle for a spot in the Asian Challenge. The qualifying matches are scheduled across two weekends; for the APAC qualifiers from April 15 to 18, and for the CN qualifiers from April 24 to 27. Here, the top three teams from each region will secure spots in the Esports World Cup, while the fourth and fifth teams will face off in the Last Chance Qualifier.

The Asian Challenge, hosted from May 8 to 11, will see eight competing teams vie for three integral slots in the finals. The climactic ACL Grand Finals will take place in Shanghai over May 17 and 18, with exhilarating matches determining the ultimate champion of the tournament.
