The upcoming 10th Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden (EKIDEN) has announced that the popular Japanese pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will serve as its official supporter. Organized by JTB Hawaii Travel, LLC, this much-anticipated event will take place on March 15, 2026.

A Celebration of Community and Culture

The Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden has been a beloved community event since its inception in March 2013. Designed for amateur runners, this unique relay race has embraced its Japanese roots while fostering a spirit of joy and camaraderie among participants and spectators alike. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the 2026 event marks a significant milestone—the 10th anniversary of this cherished festival.

The race will kick off from the scenic Kapiolani Park, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Diamond Head. Participants will run a picturesque 5 km course along Diamond Head Road, where they can enjoy stunning ocean vistas at the lookout point. The layout encourages team spirit, as all racers tackle the same loop, making it easy for team members to cheer each other on. Everyone from age five upwards can join the fun, including a dedicated kids' race for those aged twelve and under.
