Unique Art Project in Kichijoji: Handcrafted Card Cases Launch

An extraordinary art initiative is unfolding at the new Atre Kichijoji store, managed by Reflect Art Co., Ltd. This project invites visitors to engage with the vibrant local culture of Kichijoji through art. Kicking off on July 19, 2025, the project showcases exquisite, handcrafted card cases inspired by the collective work of 125 participants who depicted their unique perspectives of 'Kichijoji Town'. Each card case, priced at 2,750 yen (tax included), is set to be a one-of-a-kind memento.

The Birth of an Art Community

The heart of this initiative lies in the art workshops held on May 17 and 18, 2025, where 125 people, ranging from children to adults, came together in a creative atmosphere at Atre Kichijoji's B1F 'Yuragi Square'. Guided by a professional artist, participants painted on a large sketch depicting Kichijoji Town, measuring approximately 2 meters tall and 12 meters wide. This vibrant collaboration resulted in a beautiful rendition of the town that truly reflected the spirit of the community.

After the completion of the workshop, a display was opened from May 23 to June 19, showcasing these artworks in the main entrance area, dubbed 'Hanabi Square'. Visitors were treated to a magical sight as colorful tapestries created by young artists hung from the ceiling, illuminating the artworks below, making it feel as though the colors were dancing in mid-air.

Bringing Art to Life

Now, as the exhibition concludes, the essence of Kichijoji captured in those workshops has been transformed into exclusive card cases. Each piece is entirely different, providing a tangible connection to the memories and creativity shared by the participants. This product is not only a beautiful accessory but also a way for individuals to keep a piece of Kichijoji with them every day.

The Journey from Art to Product

1. Art Workshops (May 17-18, 2025): Led by a professional artist, participants contributed their artistic flair to a 2,750 cm² community canvas, creating a lively atmosphere filled with imagination.

2. Exhibition (May 23 - June 19, 2025): Featuring the result of the workshops, the display in 'Hanabi Square' drew many visitors who admired the vibrant colors and collaborative spirit.

3. Sales Launch (From July 19, 2025): The unique card cases will be available at the 'Mono to Art' store in Atre Kichijoji, located on the 2nd floor of the main building.
