At the recent IFA 2026, held in Berlin, Midea unveiled its innovative concept 'Simply Ideal,' reimagining how technology can integrate into our daily lives. This visionary concept encompasses a range of cutting-edge home appliances aimed at enhancing comfort, efficiency, and convenience for households.
One of the highlights of Midea's presentation was the introduction of the SMART MASTER, which introduces an artificial intelligence (AI) powered ecosystem for home management. The AI Agent fosters seamless interactions between users and various household devices, making daily tasks simpler and more intuitive. The innovative Midea Robot incorporates AI into everyday aspects of life, addressing tasks related to cooking, cleaning, laundry, and overall home management. Additionally, the Energy Management System, AI ECOMASTER, optimizes the connectivity of appliances and energy systems, adapting to household routines for enhanced flexibility and ease of use.
For families with limited space, Midea also presented its SPACE MASTER, which maximizes storage capacity without increasing external dimensions, demonstrated by a more efficient refrigerator design. Together with the MASTER suites, the BUILT-IN series, showcasing the Ispira line with its Milanese design, harmonizes aesthetics with advanced functionality, enhancing culinary experiences.
Furthermore, Midea addressed the growing demand for efficient cooling technologies with its R290 series, which combines advanced compressor technologies with R290 refrigerant boasting a very low global warming potential (GWP). The series exceeds energy efficiency ratings by over 10%, featuring residential solutions like H-Pack and PortaSplit, with the latter embracing R290 in its 2027 lineup.
In the culinary space, Midea’s Visionary refrigerators integrate features like GlassVision, enabling ease of visibility, hands-free lighting, and consistent illumination, ensuring an optimal user experience. The InfiniteFit series cooktops allow for slim designs while providing exceptional integration within modern European kitchens, while the OmniFlex technology ensures flexible pot placement.
Post-meal cleaning is made convenient with the Tri-GreenApex system, combining washing, drying, and storage solutions that consume approximately 50% less energy than what is required for the highest energy rating in Europe—a feat of engineering achievement.
Laundry, often a chore for many households, receives its upgrade with Midea’s Family Laundry concept that features multitub solutions for varied fabric care needs, enabling simultaneous washing of different loads. The OMNI SERIES offers adaptable combinations to meet diverse household rhythms.
At Midea’s booth at IFA 2026, Tobin Richardson, CEO of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, highlighted the significance of the Matter standard, emphasizing Midea’s support for open, secure, and interoperable smart appliance connectivity.
A prominent feature of Midea’s showcase was its partnership with FC Barcelona, creating an immersive experience that underlined the shared values of performance and excellence. Football legend Carles Puyol’s appearance at the event illustrated the synergies between Midea’s innovative spirit and the FC Barcelona ethos of teamwork and leadership.
