Launch of Online Childcare Reservation Service 'mila-e' in Tobishima Village

Launch of 'mila-e Reservation'

Aichi Prefecture's Tobishima Village has partnered with Mirabo, a company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, to enhance its parenting support services with the introduction of an online reservation system named 'mila-e.' This service went live on August 1, 2025, and aims to simplify the reservation process for various childcare services, benefiting expectant and new parents in the community.

Background of 'mila-e Reservation'

To better support families during pregnancy and child-rearing, Tobishima Village started implementing a health record application for mothers and children, fondly called 'Tobi-Hapi', developed by Mirabo, in May 2025. Following the success of this initiative, the village has integrated the 'mila-e Reservation' system to facilitate multiple services that include everything from issuing health handbooks to consultations by speech therapists, as well as offering parent-child classes, developmental assessments, and baby salons among other supportive activities.

This collaboration between 'mila-e Oya Ko Techo' and 'mila-e Reservation' allows users to receive timely notifications regarding childcare information from local authorities, seamlessly transitioning from alerts to online booking for various classes and health check-ups. This significantly reduces the hassle associated with scheduling reservations during office hours, thus lessening the burden on parenting families significantly.

How to Use 'mila-e Reservation'

To utilize the service, users can access the 'Reservations' section from the home screen of the 'Tobi-Hapi' app. After logging in with their mila-e authentication account and entering relevant user information, they can easily proceed with booking their desired services.
