Horizon Recovery Enhances Adolescent Mental Health Support with New Facility in Arizona
Horizon Recovery Expands Adolescent Mental Health Services
Horizon Recovery, recognized as Arizona's leading provider for adolescent mental health and addiction recovery solutions, is gearing up to unveil its seventh facility this summer. The anticipated opening on June 1 will see a state-of-the-art outpatient center take shape at Union Hills Drive and Interstate 17 in North Phoenix.
The establishment of this new 5,000 square-foot facility is a direct response to the escalating mental health challenges faced by youth in Arizona. As the demand for such critical support grows, Horizon Recovery aims to broaden access to its comprehensive outpatient services, which include Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and traditional outpatient care.
Patrick Buehl, co-founder and executive director of Horizon Recovery, expressed the urgency of the situation: "Every week, we receive calls from families desperately seeking help for their teens who are struggling with mental health challenges. This new location enables us to meet families where they are, breaking down barriers to quality care and ensuring more adolescents receive essential support before crises escalate."
The expansion will not only enhance service availability but will also create a minimum of ten additional healthcare positions within the local area. The location was strategically chosen to cater specifically to families residing in North Phoenix, Cave Creek, Anthem, and the surrounding regions — areas where access to specialized adolescent mental health services has previously required longer travel.
As part of its new offerings, Horizon Recovery plans to launch its inaugural summer camp program, designed to provide behavioral health support while engaging adolescents and teens in safe activities and meaningful events. This innovative approach adds a layer of support that aligns with the needs of today’s youth, encouraging holistic wellness.
Brian Carlisle, FNP-C and co-founder of Horizon Recovery, highlighted their unique method: "Our programs are specifically tailored for adolescents and are not merely adult programs adapted for younger individuals. The North Phoenix center will embody a comprehensive therapeutic model that integrates evidence-based clinical therapies with fresh, innovative approaches that resonate with teens, such as technology-assisted therapies, creative arts interventions, and family-focused treatments."
Families inquiring about services can begin scheduling patient appointments towards the end of May, with operations set to initiate on June 1. For more information, families can reach out at 602-960-9968 or visit the Horizon Recovery website at horizonrecovery.com.
