Automotive Recycling Awareness Event
On October 27, 2025, fifth graders from Tanaka Elementary School in Miki Town participated in a field trip organized by the Automobile Recycling Promotion Center, aimed at educating young minds about the importance of vehicle recycling efforts taken by automotive maintenance businesses. This program was held at the Car Messe iSHii, a renowned company in the automotive service industry.
The event began with an informative lecture highlighting the responsibilities of automotive repair personnel. The students learned about how proper vehicle maintenance plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and prolonging the lifespan of cars. The representatives from Car Messe iSHii explained the significance of regular maintenance services, emphasizing that well-kept vehicles are safer and more reliable.
After the theoretical session, the students made their way to the workshop, eager to observe real-life automotive activities. They watched skilled technicians performing vehicle inspections and engine oil changes, gaining firsthand experience of the practical aspects of automotive care. This unique exposure allowed the students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications.
When the tour concluded, the students expressed their eagerness to venture into the world of automotive maintenance themselves, with one student stating, "I want to become a mechanic in the future!" Others raised insightful questions, including inquiries about why different types of vehicles require diverse maintenance protocols. This interaction highlighted not only the value of automotive maintenance services but also the critical role these professionals play in promoting vehicle safety and longevity.
This initiative was a valuable opportunity for Tanaka Elementary’s fifth graders. Engaging them in hands-on learning experiences helps ignite interests in future career paths in automotive services and reinforces the significance of vehicle recycling in environmental conservation. The participation and enthusiasm of the young students reflect a promising future where they can contribute positively to society through their learning experiences.
