Nago City and Trust Bank Collaborate for a Healthier Future
On June 22, Nago City (led by Mayor Takehiro Toguchi) established a partnership agreement with Trust Bank, the operator behind Japan's largest hometown donation platform, Furusato Choice. This collaboration aims to support Nago City's project to enhance health, medical services, and promote longevity within the region. The agreement outlines how both parties will work together to secure necessary funds for these initiatives through community donations and promote local health improvement.
Background of the Agreement
Nago City has made consistent efforts to create a vibrant and tranquil community, leveraging its unique natural and cultural features since its establishment from the merger of five towns in August 1970. Unfortunately, health statistics show that the death rate among those under 65 is higher than both the national and Okinawa averages. As the number of senior citizens and individuals requiring nursing care continues to grow, it has become increasingly important to advance health initiatives and prevent serious health conditions among the community.
With the scheduled opening of the Okinawa Northern Medical Center in 2028, Nago City recognizes the necessity to enhance its medical services. To address these challenges, Nago City and Trust Bank are committed to utilizing Trust Bank's platform alongside the
