Urban Outfitters Unveils a Unique Retail Experience with Nike Collaboration
In a bold move to cater to the evolving needs of Gen Z consumers, Urban Outfitters has launched an innovative retail initiative named On Rotation. This immersive experience aims to create memorable shopping moments while celebrating popular brands. The debut, which features a significant collaboration with Nike, was launched on May 14, 2025, in several major cities across the United States, including New York, Washington D.C., Scottsdale, San Diego, and Manhattan Beach, California.
The Concept of On Rotation
On Rotation is more than just a shopping experience; it seeks to foster a vibrant connection between consumers and the brands they love. According to Cyntia Leo, the Head of Brand Marketing and Communications at Urban Outfitters, the initiative is a response to Gen Z's desire for more than just products—they seek cultural fluency and engaging retail moments. This race emphasizes the intersection of sport and self-expression, and UO is engaging with over 20 influencers and college community members for a four-month training program leading up to the event. The exclusive collection, including a unique colorway of the Nike Vomero 18 running shoe, will be available in all LA store locations, including the On Rotation destination.
