Taisho University Library Festival 2025
On November 8th, 2025, the Taisho University Library, located in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, will collaborate with the Toshima City Public Library to host the vibrant "Library Festival." This event is part of the annual "Toshima Cultural Promotion Period," aimed at celebrating cultural activities and promoting the charm of the Toshima Ward community through a variety of events focusing on manga, anime, and cosplay.
The festival will see the merging of university and public libraries, making it a unique gathering for community members of all ages. The event will also feature a special collaboration with Kan no Hoshi Sha Co., a publisher specializing in children's literature since its establishment in 1919. They will present the theme "The Wonder of Picture Books and Bird Nests - What Bird Nests Can Teach Us."
One of the highlights will be a guest lecture and workshop conducted by Mamoru Suzuki, a painter, picture book author, and bird nest researcher. Participants can engage in activities designed to deepen their understanding of bird nests and enjoy an array of fun programs suitable for all generations. We invite everyone in the community to join this enriching experience!
