AtHeart’s Global Time Travel Project
The global girl group AtHeart is embarking on a unique musical journey, the "TIME TRAVEL PROJECT," aimed at connecting generations through the art of music. On June 11, AtHeart surprised fans by releasing a poster for the project on their official social media channels, along with the announcement of two reimagined tracks set for worldwide release.
The poster features a vibrant pink heart-shaped cassette tape, adorned with handwritten names of the tracks, "Say It" and "3!4!" The numbers "1996" and "2026" flanking the tape symbolize the passage of 30 years, elegantly capturing the project's theme of bridging the past and present. Retro star-shaped stickers add to the nostalgic vibe, heightening anticipation for what’s to come.
The TIME TRAVEL PROJECT aims to reinterpret iconic songs that originated in 1996, giving them a fresh twist through AtHeart's unique perspective. This global remake initiative intends to deliver a special musical experience that transcends three decades, connecting the sounds and sentiments of yesteryear with contemporary audiences.
AtHeart has chosen to start the project with two representative tracks—one from the US and another from South Korea. The first song, “Say It,” is a reimagining of the 1996 worldwide hit “Lovefool” by the Swedish band The Cardigans. This new rendition will be released simultaneously around the globe on June 25.
Following this, the iconic Korean track "3!4!" by Roo'Ra, which continues to resonate with audiences in South Korea, will see its remake debut in early August. While maintaining the essence of the original, AtHeart promises to infuse the song with their signature upbeat and vibrant energy, suggesting that it will become a summer anthem to remember.
AtHeart’s earlier works have embodied the concept of “twist,” showcasing their originality in music and performance. Through the TIME TRAVEL PROJECT, they are set to enhance musical communication across generations, rekindling memories for those familiar with the classics while introducing new listeners to the allure of these timeless hits.
