Upcoming Online Seminar: Addressing Current Challenges in Marketing Research
On June 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM JST, Nihon Information Inc., a leading marketing research firm based in Chuo, Tokyo, is hosting a free online seminar titled "Addressing Current Challenges in Marketing Research: Issues of Data Quality and Data Literacy". The seminar will feature Masayuki Hagiwara, an Executive Fellow at Transcosmos Analytics, as the guest speaker.
Overview of the Seminar
Marketing research has long been a crucial foundation for corporate decision-making and understanding consumer behavior. However, the rapid acceleration of digitalization, diversified consumer behaviors, and the emergence of new technologies such as AI are transforming the landscape of marketing research like never before.
In this evolving environment, researchers face numerous challenges, including difficulties in securing research collaborators, concerns about data quality, and the fundamental question of whether we truly understand consumers. These challenges prompt us to reevaluate the value of research itself.
This seminar is the second installment in a series addressing various issues surrounding current marketing research. It aims to unpack these challenges, providing insights into the nature of the problems and guiding attendees on how to navigate them effectively.
Theme of the Seminar
The focus for this session is on "Data Quality and Data Literacy Challenges." As specialization and outsourcing in data collection processes become prevalent, important elements of research design are often overlooked. Participants will learn how to interpret data beyond the surface and avoid the traps of poor data interpretation that can lead to incorrect decision-making.
Targeted towards research and marketing professionals who utilize research in their planning and decision-making, this seminar offers practical insights that can help maintain the integrity of their research efforts.
