Major Revamp of DAM CHANNEL Launching on April 7, 2026

Starting from April 7, 2026, DAIMA's karaoke information program, DAM CHANNEL, will receive a significant overhaul. Founded by Daiichi Kosho Co., Ltd., this program has long delivered entertainment information focused on popular artists and trending tracks. With a fresh new format, it aims to enhance user experience and entertainment value simultaneously.

At the helm of this revitalization is the beloved comedian, Nagisa Shibuya, who will serve as the program's navigator. Known for her friendly demeanor and charisma, Shibuya will connect various segments of the show while also providing narration for entertainment news. The program will feature a variety of comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo who will serve as engaging hosts for different segments, ensuring that each episode offers a unique blend of humor and insight into the artists' worlds.

The esteemed Masaki Sato, the comprehensive director known for his work on popular musical programs such as HEY!HEY!HEY! MUSIC CHAMP, will enhance the production quality of DAM CHANNEL. His expertise will ensure that the emotional depth of song lyrics and the artists' messages are communicated compellingly. This transformation will not only incorporate studio recordings but also explore diverse outdoor filming locations tailored to artists' preferences, making the program dynamic and innovative.

Since its inception in August 2004, DAM CHANNEL has been a significant source of entertainment for karaoke users, consistently highlighting the latest tracks and superstars. The shift in direction to include more location shooting aligns with contemporary viewing habits and aims to provide fresh, engaging content that resonates with viewers.

In addition to the main program, behind-the-scenes footage and unseen scenes will be available on the DAM CHANNEL’s official YouTube channel. Collaborations with streaming services like Lemino and various social media outlets, including X and TikTok, are also in the works to enhance audience engagement and expand the reach of DAM CHANNEL's content. This multifaceted approach aims to encourage more users to enjoy karaoke experiences enriched by the vibrant entertainment shared through DAM CHANNEL.
