Introducing Palisson: A Distinctive French Single Malt Whisky

TYC Creation, a company based in Suginami, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the launch of its newest offering: Palisson, a premium French single malt whisky. Starting on October 14, 2025, the whisky will be available for purchase through TYC Wines, which serves as the exclusive importer and distributor in Japan.

A First in Japan

Palisson marks Japan's first introduction to an exceptional French single malt whisky. This unique spirit is distinguished not only by its origin, but also by its careful production process, which utilizes specially selected Barley from the Charente region of France, known for its rich association with Cognac. The whisky is crafted at the renowned Distillerie Vinet-Delpech, a distillery with a history dating back to 1777.

Operation and Aging Process

The production of Palisson involves a meticulous dual distillation method that ensures the whisky captures the essence of its high-quality ingredients. Each of the three types of Palisson will age in different casks, enhancing its unique flavors and aromas. Each variant promises a distinct approach to whisky enjoyment, making them perfect for tasting or pairing.

Batch 01: Cognac Cask Aging

The first batch of Palisson showcases a crisp and aromatic blend, having undergone aging in second-fill French Limousin oak barrels previously used for Cognac. This process infuses the whisky with a delightful harmony of aromas reminiscent of ripe pears, white peaches, subtle blooms, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon, all merging beautifully with the barley notes.

Batch 02: Rum Cask Aging

Batch 02 delights the senses with an inviting taste profile matured in second-fill barrels that once held Caribbean rum. The resultant whisky reveals layered flavors of caramelized banana and vanilla, intertwining seamlessly with the barley nuances to create a bold and enticing personality.

Batch 03: Bourbon Cask Aging

The final batch features aging in second-fill bourbon barrels, resulting in an exquisite balance of flavors. The whisky presents a sophisticated blend of candied fruits, a trace of tobacco, and light vanilla nuances, all while maintaining a delicate harmony with the underlying barley aroma.
