Sungrow and ENEVO Group Forge Groundbreaking 1GWh Energy Storage Agreement to Accelerate Romania's Transition to Renewable Energy

Sungrow and ENEVO Group Join Forces for Renewable Energy in Romania

In a landmark deal announced on March 27, 2026, Sungrow, a global leader in photovoltaic inverters and energy storage solutions, has partnered with ENEVO Group, a prominent Romanian energy solutions provider. This agreement involves a series of energy storage projects totaling a capacity of 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh), underscoring the urgent need for efficient energy transition in Romania.

Details of the Agreement

The initial phase of this collaboration includes projects amounting to 440 megawatt-hours (MWh), which are set to be commissioned by December 2026. The agreement's later phase will contribute an additional 560 MWh, ultimately surpassing the 1 GWh milestone upon project completion. All installations will utilize Sungrow's award-winning PowerTitan 2.0 battery energy storage system (BESS), known for its liquid cooling technology, which is essential for large-scale network support and renewable energy integration.

As the demand for flexible, reliable, and secure energy storage systems escalates across Europe, Sungrow is reinforcing its leadership position in supplying advanced, bankable energy storage solutions, backed by comprehensive technical support. The PowerTitan series has already been successfully deployed in various utility-scale projects across the region, including notable installations in the UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, and Bulgaria.
