Welcome Reception for New Employees
On April 5, 2025, Aeon Delight Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, hosted a grand welcome reception at the Shiga Prefectural Cultural Industrial Exchange Center. This event marked a significant milestone as 123 new employees joined the ranks of the company, along with its subsidiaries, including Aeon Delight Security Co., Ltd., Environmental Maintenance Co., Ltd., Aeon Compass Co., Ltd., Shiroseisha Co., Ltd., and Ask Maintenance Co., Ltd.
Embracing the Future
The reception was designed to instill a sense of belonging and responsibility among new recruits, as they were welcomed into a group aiming to become Asia's number one facility management (FM) enterprise. The program included speeches of encouragement, certificates of appointment, and various engaging activities that immersed participants in the group’s operations and culture.
During the event, new employees gained insights into the company's projects, including the large-scale complex "Nagasaki Stadium City," which features a stadium and arena that opened in October 2023, alongside hotels, commercial facilities, and offices. This was complemented by live broadcasts from their respective workplaces within the domestic group and interactions with senior management who answered questions from the newcomers.
Message from CEO Kazunari Hamada
Kazunari Hamada, the Group CEO, delivered an inspiring message to the new employees, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation (DX) that the group has been promoting over the years. He stressed the need for the new talent to bring their digital native sensibility to evolve the Aeon Delight Group.
“In today’s rapidly changing business environment, only those who can adapt to changes will survive. The most significant change driver is technological evolution, particularly the rise of generative AI,” he noted. In 2023, the company developed an innovative interactive AI called “AI Manager,” initiated by young employees to enhance office efficiency. The potential impacts of AI on jobs and the workforce are projected to far exceed those witnessed during previous industrial revolutions.
Hamada linked the skills necessary for future business professionals to the power of inquiry, urging the recruits to challenge the status quo and look for new and better methods of operation. “Do not be confined by traditional norms; question everything,” he encouraged, urging them to foster a mindset of innovation as they step into their roles as members of the Aeon Delight group.
