A Vision for a Supportive Society
Moral harassment and trauma can leave deep emotional scars that are often invisible and misunderstood by others. As part of the April Dream initiative, Kisaragi Counseling Center is committed to creating a society where those affected by these issues do not feel isolated. Their mission emphasizes that psychological difficulties are not merely individual problems; they originate within relationships and society and can heal through mutual support.
The Kisaragi Counseling Center was established on February 1, 2020, in Sumida, Tokyo, and has a branch in Sakuragi-cho, Yokohama. Since then, it has specialized in providing support for individuals suffering from moral harassment and trauma. The center employs clinical psychologists and certified psychological counselors who are devoted to addressing the often overlooked struggles of their clients. Additionally, they offer specialized trauma care, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), emphasizing the importance of having safe spaces in the community where individuals can express their mental health concerns freely.
Psychological support is not an exclusive resource for a select few; it is a vital societal resource that everyone may require at different points in their lives.
As we look to the future, we at Kisaragi Counseling Center are dedicated to creating a society where:
- - Appropriate psychological support reaches those in need.
- - The pain arising from relationships is understood and validated.
- - The cycle of victimization and aggression is less likely to repeat.
We aspire to build a community rich with psychological support, ensuring that every individual has access to a safe space where they can candidly share their experiences and effortlessly connect with necessary services.
Our goal is to foster a society where moral harassment is adequately recognized, making it easier for people to obtain the help they need. We envision a future where visiting a counseling center is not viewed as a last resort but rather as a natural choice for healing. Having local resources that allow individuals to voice their struggles is vital for transforming lives, ensuring that specialized support is appropriately found, and preventing anyone from bearing heavy burdens alone.
The name 'Kisaragi' signifies the transition from the harsh grip of winter to the budding life of spring. It embodies our hope that individuals who seek our services gradually recover from their struggles and thrive through counseling support.
Kisaragi Counseling Center will continue to strive towards a society that understands moral harassment and supports those affected by it. We believe that with persistent effort, we can cultivate an environment where the complexities of mental health are openly discussed and adequately addressed, creating a community that uplifts rather than isolates.
