Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. Announces CEO Leadership Transition

Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., a prominent supplier in the building materials industry, revealed on May 5, 2026, that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, Dave Davis, will retire. His departure marks the end of a remarkable period of leadership characterized by substantial growth and innovation.

Davis has guided Spahn & Rose for nearly a decade, during which the company not only maintained its status as an industry leader but also achieved unprecedented growth and expanded its market share significantly. Under his stewardship, the organization implemented vital initiatives that paved the way for continued expansion and strengthened the company’s reputation in the marketplace.

Jim Altman, Chair of the Board, expressed deep appreciation for Davis’s visionary leadership, saying, "On behalf of the Board and the entire organization, I want to express our deep gratitude to Dave for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment over the past 9 years. Under his guidance, the company achieved record growth, expanded market share, and launched key initiatives to support Spahn & Rose's growth and expansion."

In his farewell remarks, Davis noted, "It has been an extraordinary privilege to lead Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. I am proud of what we've accomplished together and am confident in the team's ability to carry forward our mission."

To maintain strategic momentum and ensure a seamless transition, the Board conducted a thorough search for Davis's successor. They are excited to announce Matthew Parrish as the new CEO/President of Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. With over 30 years of experience in the building materials sector, Parrish brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is anticipated to guide the company through its next chapter.

Matthew Parrish will be taking over the role of CEO/President as the 9th individual to hold this title in the company’s 122-year history. As Davis steps down, he will play a crucial role in supporting Parrish during this transition. The executive leadership team will further assist in ensuring business continuity and maintaining stakeholder confidence.

Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. is committed to delivering substantial value to its customers, shareholders, and employees. The company plans to continue executing its strategic priorities without interruption, demonstrating a determined focus on future growth even amidst leadership changes.
