On February 12, 2026, Ibaraki Town and the PALSYSTEM organization will formalize their partnership to enhance child-rearing support at the town hall. This collaboration will include the delivery of care packages known as "Omedetou Bako" to families with newborns. The aim is to foster an environment where families can raise their children with confidence and dignity, ensuring that all children grow up in a supportive context.
The agreements formalized in the partnership will allow Ibaraki Town to distribute guide cards for the Omedetou Bako during home visits for infants under four months old. These care packages will include essential items like baby soap, wipes, tuna flakes for baby food preparation, and broth packs. These thoughtful gifts are delivered through PALSYSTEM's home delivery service, which is intended to be convenient for new parents.
Moreover, the distribution of the Omedetou Bako will take place directly from PALSYSTEM to the applicants, highlighting the organization’s commitment to newborn families in the region. This initiative also includes information about parenting consultations and support organizations compiled by Ibaraki Town, which fosters community interaction and oversight.
With this new agreement, the collaboration has expanded to 21 partnerships since it began last year, symbolizing a growing community effort to support parents and create a nurturing environment for children. The ceremony will take place in the policy meeting room of the Ibaraki Town Hall, starting at 2 PM, with both the Mayor of Ibaraki, Norio Kobayashi, and PALSYSTEM Ibaraki Tochigi’s Chairwoman, Yasuyo Aoki, in attendance.
PALSYSTEM plays a vital role in the community by visiting the same areas weekly to deliver groceries along with community engagement activities. This includes hosting parenting-related events and managing a parenting website called "Kodomo Sodatetai 123". By doing so, they aim to provide information that strengthens the ties between parents and enables collaborative child-rearing efforts. The organization emphasizes the importance of diverse connections in supporting families through the challenges of parenting.
Looking to the future, PALSYSTEM Ibaraki Tochigi will remain committed to disseminating parenting information actively and will collaborate with various stakeholders, including local government, to foster a safe and nurturing environment for raising children. The cooperative, which boasts a strong membership base of 141,000 and a total business volume of 18.34 billion yen, aims to continue enhancing its supportive network for families in the region.
PALSYSTEM Ibaraki Tochigi is headquartered at 2-1-39 Umeoka, Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, with Yasuyo Aoki as its Chairwoman. The organization is part of the wider PALSYSTEM cooperative federation which includes various regional groups across Japan, creating a robust network dedicated to community support and child-rearing assistance.
