His career trajectory has offered him diverse experiences in product management, sales leadership, and national promotions, with a strong focus on managing major accounts. Before this new position at Mighty Auto Parts, Hansen served as the Director of Sales at Hopkins Manufacturing / First Brands Group. Here, he successfully managed an impressive book of business valued at over $85 million, demonstrating his ability to drive revenue growth and enhance customer partnerships.

In addition to his extensive experience at Hopkins, Hansen's prior history includes over two decades at NAPA AUTO PARTS and Balkamp. During his tenure, he progressed through various leadership roles, including Product Manager, Promotions Manager, and National Sales Manager. This experience allowed him to work closely with a vast array of major national and regional accounts, managing a sales portfolio that exceeded $1 billion annually across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
