LX Pantos Completes Complex Defense Logistics Project
LX Pantos has recently celebrated a significant achievement in the field of defense logistics. On September 8, 2026, the company announced the successful completion of a cross-border defense logistics project focused on advanced weaponry. This project involved transporting Air-to-Air Missiles (AAM) from France to South Korea for the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, under the guidance of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
The crucial shipment of AAMs was carried out via a dedicated charter flight organized by LX Pantos, which ensured the secure transport of these critical assets. The journey began at Châteauroux Airport in France, culminating at Incheon International Airport in South Korea, after which the missiles were securely delivered by road to a designated Marine unit in Pohang. In order to maintain strict security measures, the charter flight was exclusively utilized for this shipment, which was classified as a hazardous material under Class 1, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E regulations.
Transporting dangerous goods such as defense materials requires adherence to stringent international and national safety regulations, including those dictated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). During this operation, LX Pantos successfully secured overflight permits from 14 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, showcasing its extensive coordination capabilities and robust global network, which includes various European subsidiaries.
This accomplishment is part of LX Pantos's ongoing commitment to expanding its defense logistics service offerings. The company had previously achieved an 'Excellent' rating in a 2024 security assessment conducted by the Defense Counterintelligence Command of South Korea. Furthermore, LX Pantos reached Level 3 (AL3) in the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), demonstrating its compliance with global security information standards.
A company representative stated that this project underscores LX Pantos's advanced expertise in security, logistics, and safety. They further emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting global defense customers while enhancing its role in the defense logistics market.
