Pudu Robotics Unveils the Revolutionary PUDU D5 Series at iREX 2025
Pudu Robotics, headquartered in Shenzhen, China, and represented in Japan by Pudu Robotics Japan Co., Ltd. led by CEO Zhang Tao, made a striking debut at the world's largest robotics exhibition, iREX 2025, held at Tokyo Big Sight. The company introduced the PUDU D5 Series, an innovative line of autonomous quadruped robots designed for industrial applications. This new series features both legged and wheeled models, catering to a wide array of operational needs.
Zhang Tao expressed his enthusiasm about the company's participation in such a prestigious event, noting that this marks Pudu Robotics' first time showcasing its entire product lineup at an international exhibition. The PUDU D5 Series stands out as a pioneering robot that extends the usability beyond indoor environments to include complex outdoor settings, significantly broadening its application in various industrial landscapes. "I am thrilled to introduce our service robot ecosystem, which enhances operational efficiency and creates complementary value through collaboration among robots with different capabilities," Zhang commented to the attendees.
Versatile and Resilient: The PUDU D5 Series
The PUDU D5 Series is engineered for autonomy in challenging environments. Its capabilities encompass a broader scope, functioning effectively from indoor warehouses to rugged outdoor terrains, including tasks such as patrol inspections in hazardous areas, industrial deliveries, off-road explorations, and research missions.
Equipped with automotive-grade computing systems, the D5 Series can make real-time judgments about its surroundings, ensuring stable operation and full autonomy without human oversight. Thanks to its dual-processor architecture featuring the NVIDIA Orin platform and RK3588, the robot boasts a computational power of up to 275 TOPS. This allows it to handle multiple tasks such as real-time SLAM, 3D reconstruction, obstacle avoidance, object recognition, and route optimization with low latency.
One of the standout features of the PUDU D5 is its mapping and navigation capabilities, which can cover an area of up to 1 million square meters using SLAM technology. It offers an impressive battery range, enabling travel of up to 14 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, the D5 has a 360-degree awareness capability provided by four 120° fisheye cameras and two LiDAR sensors positioned at the front and back, generating high-density 3D point cloud data.
For remote supervision, operators can utilize a visualization tool to oversee missions as needed. From a durability perspective, the D5 Series is built with a high-strength aluminum structure and closed-loop torque control, allowing it to transport loads of up to 30 kg while maintaining stable operation for two or more hours. Its design adheres to the IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, supporting cold starts at temperatures as low as -10°C and operating stably in a broad temperature range from -20°C to 55°C.
As a bridge between specialized and humanoid robots, the D5 Series is integral to Pudu Robotics' strategy of 'Multi-Form Embodied Intelligence' and symbolizes their advancements in next-generation robotic technologies. It promises a future where intelligent robots can thrive across diverse terrains, industries, and environments.
A Comprehensive Robot Ecosystem Addressing Diverse Business Needs
At iREX 2025, Pudu Robotics showcased its comprehensive robot ecosystem, highlighting a variety of robots including specialized, semi-humanoid, and humanoid models to meet the needs of multiple industries such as hospitality, retail, entertainment, healthcare, logistics, and education. Among the exhibited robot lineup were the latest models of the premium delivery and advertising robot, BellaBot Pro, which is popular in restaurants and eateries across Japan. The industrial delivery robot, PUDU T300 Series, was also featured, offering multiple operational modes—standard, lifting, shelving, and towing—to adapt to various logistical tasks.
Additionally, the autonomous cleaning robots, PUDU CC1 Pro and PUDU MT1 Max, demonstrated how automated cleaning solutions can ensure consistent quality even with minimal human intervention.
The full lineup showcase and the introduction of the new PUDU D5 Series reflect Pudu Robotics’ deep commitment to turning complex technologies into commercially viable products and expanding its ecosystem and technological reach. The company is dedicated to its mission of improving productivity and quality of life through AI and innovative robotic technologies in the years to come.
For attendees at iREX 2025, Pudu Robotics is located at East Hall W4-78, where visitors can explore the PUDU D5 Series and the entire product lineup, experiencing cutting-edge robotics firsthand.
