FANCL to Host 'Hydrangea Garden 2025' Event in Ginza

FANCL's Hydrangea Garden 2025

From May 29 to June 4, 2025, FANCL Ginza Square will transform into a vibrant display of blue hydrangeas for the much-anticipated 'Hydrangea Garden 2025'. The event runs in conjunction with World Environment Day, which has been observed on June 5 since its establishment by the United Nations in 1973. The theme for this year’s garden is 'Towards the Future - Earth Garden Protecting Our Planet'.

Event Highlights

The main objective of the 'Hydrangea Garden' is to foster a greater awareness of environmental issues and encourage collective action toward preserving the beauty of our planet. Besides showcasing stunning hydrangeas, the event will feature a photo spot with a globe-shaped plate symbolizing the Earth, offering visitors a chance to capture memorable moments surrounded by nature.

Additionally, the garden will be illuminated on May 30 and 31 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing attendees to experience the enchanting beauty of hydrangeas under the stars.

Sustainable Practices

FANCL is committed to sustainability and hence, the flowers used during the event will not go to waste. The hydrangeas will be donated to nearby Taimai Elementary School, and other flowers will be repurposed into dried flowers for a candle-making workshop. This initiative underscores FANCL’s dedication to contributing to local communities and promoting environmental conservation.

Events and Workshops

Alongside the 'Hydrangea Garden', several workshops will be held, including:
  • - Shell Flower Arrangement Workshop on May 31 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM and 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM. This workshop focuses on using shells, symbols of marine biodiversity, to create floral arrangements. The activity will utilize crushed cosmetic containers collected from FANCL's stores as a soil substitute.
  • - Glass Candle Making with Dried Flowers on June 27 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Participants will have the chance to create elegant candles from dried flowers previously used during events.

Special Promotion

During the 'Hydrangea Garden', all visitors will receive a complimentary bottle of 'Kirin Seicha Karada Harecha', a refreshing tea packaged in 100% recycled PET bottles, as part of a project aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. To participate, guests can follow FANCL Ginza Square on Instagram and engage with designated posts, allowing them to claim their free drink.
