Trey Goldman Appointed Senior Vice President of Public Policy at Florida Realtors

Florida Realtors®, the largest professional association for real estate professionals in Florida, has made a significant leadership move by appointing Trey Goldman as their new Senior Vice President of Public Policy. This announcement was made on July 22, 2025, and marks a pivotal change in the advocacy landscape for the over 238,000 members of the organization.

A Leader with Extensive Experience

Trey Goldman is not a newcomer to Florida Realtors. He has been a vital part of the team as the legislative counsel, providing guidance and legal expertise for many years. According to Margy Grant, the organization's CEO, Goldman's combination of legal acumen, deep industry knowledge, and impressive communication skills makes him the ideal candidate for the SVP position. His history with the association and commitment to representing the interests of Realtors in Florida laid a strong foundation for this advancement.

Tim Weisheyer, the President of Florida Realtors, emphasized Goldman's commitment to improving the profession and the lives of individuals within the industry over several decades. His ability to engage with members and inspire them to participate in advocacy efforts presents an opportunity for Florida Realtors to further amplify their voice within the legislative framework.

Responsibilities in the New Role

In his new role, Goldman will lead all legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts for Florida Realtors. This includes managing the public policy office and steering the initiatives related to the organization's legislative agenda. His hands-on experience representing Realtors before the Florida Legislature, regulatory agencies, and the Governor's office will be pivotal in navigating complex legislative matters impacting the real estate sector.

Goldman's expertise encompasses numerous areas, with notable attention to issues surrounding insurance and community associations—topics that are increasingly significant in today's real estate climate. His vast legislative experience places him in a unique position to strengthen Florida Realtors’ advocacy initiatives.

Personal Background and Credentials

Goldman was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he was inspired by a family legacy of real estate. Both of his parents were Realtors, instilling a passion for the profession from an early age. He pursued higher education at the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in Real Estate and Urban Analysis, followed by a Juris Doctor from the same institution's College of Law. He is also a member of the Florida Bar and serves on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and legal expertise.

Moving Forward

As Florida Realtors continues to foster the interests of its members, Trey's leadership will no doubt bring new energy and focus to their advocacy campaigns. By integrating his experience and relationships with key decision-makers across the state, Florida Realtors is well-positioned to tackle the future challenges and opportunities that the real estate industry may encounter.

Florida Realtors remains dedicated to representing its members through comprehensive programs, services, and educational opportunities, emphasizing its role as The Voice for Real Estate® in Florida. For more information, visit their Newsroom at Florida Realtors Newsroom.
