Aomori’s urban landscape is set to be enhanced with the upcoming opening of the Richmond Hotel Hachinohe Square in the fall of 2026. Managed by RNT Hotels, this new hotel will be nestled in Hachino Square, a mixed-use complex developed by East Japan Real Estate. The project aims to create a vibrant hub for interaction and cultural exchange in the center of Hachinohe city.

Hotel Details and Concept

Located on the second to ninth floors of the newly constructed, nine-story commercial and hotel building, this hotel will offer a total of 126 well-appointed rooms. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2026, with the hotel envisioned as a contemporary haven that connects travelers with the distinct experiences Hachinohe has to offer.

The design philosophy centers around the theme: “Engage with Hachinohe: An Exciting and Captivating Journey.” Working alongside design partners, RNT Hotels has emphasized creating an environment that immerses guests in the local culture, highlighting the area's beautiful natural landscapes, vibrant festivals, rich culinary traditions, and skilled craftsmanship.

From the reception area, guests will experience the essence of Hachinohe through carefully chosen materials and lighting that reflect its historical significance as a port town. The design will draw inspiration from Hachino’s natural beauty, with color palettes and materials in guest rooms that evoke the local pottery and elements of the surrounding sea and woods, enabling a tranquil retreat after a day of exploring.

Comfortable lounge spaces will incorporate wooden elements and gentle ambient lighting, allowing guests to reflect on their day's adventures while inspiring them to seek further explorations in the city.
