Experience the Fusion of Art and Sound
On November 23, 2025, the event 'Fureau Men, Tokeau Sen' will take place at gift_lab in Koto, Tokyo. This unique performance will showcase the collaboration between visual artist ASUKI and sound artist hofli / TakashiTsuda. Their artistic expression will explore the interplay between sound and lines in a two-part impromptu session.
Two-Part Structure
The performance is divided into two acts: a matinee and an evening show. Each act represents a distinct exploration of the relationship between sound and visual art.
Matinee
During the matinee, which begins at 1:30 PM, the performance will unfold in a dialogue rhythm reminiscent of a renga (a traditional Japanese collaborative poem). This exchange will bring forth the theme 'Fureau Men, Tokeau Sen.' As the session concludes, the audience can witness the artwork created during the performance exhibited on the wall as traces of the experience.
Evening Show
The evening show at 4:00 PM will have a different flavor. Here, ASUKI’s drawings will evolve in real-time, responding to the live performances of hofli / TakashiTsuda. Unlike the matinee, no physical traces of the artworks will remain. This session emphasizes the act of creation itself—attendees will witness the ephemeral moment where sound and lines intersect and dissolve into the space.
As the borders of time and space blur and transform, participants are invited to immerse themselves in this singular performance experience.
