Health Enterprise Partners Announces RISE Above Award Winner
Health Enterprise Partners (HEP) has proudly announced that Dr. Patrick McGrath, the Chief Clinical Officer of NOCD, is the esteemed recipient of this year's RISE Above Award. This accolade, now in its second year, is dedicated to honoring individuals who showcase exceptional resilience, integrity, straightforwardness, and a commitment to educating and developing others—values represented by HEP's late member Steve Filchock, who had made significant contributions over his 14 years with the organization.
Dr. McGrath's dedication to addressing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has spanned over 25 years, positioning him as a leading expert in the field. Known particularly for his work in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, Dr. McGrath has been instrumental in ensuring this evidence-based treatment is accessible to countless individuals struggling with OCD and related conditions. At NOCD, he has established one of the largest specialized clinical networks in the nation for OCD, all while taking an active role in mentoring therapists, equipping them with the skills to provide compassionate and effective treatment.
In a statement regarding the award, Dave Tamburri, HEP's Managing Partner, remarked, "The RISE Above Award recognizes individuals who exemplify key qualities such as resilience and integrity—qualities that Dr. McGrath clearly demonstrates through his visionary leadership. His commitment to advancing OCD treatment has profoundly impacted patients, clinicians, and the larger behavioral health community."
Reflecting on his recognition, Dr. McGrath shared his passion: "The most rewarding aspect of my career has been enabling individuals to reclaim their lives from OCD. I believe strongly that everyone suffering from OCD and anxiety should have access to evidence-based care. I am sincerely grateful to HEP and to Steve for this honor, and I share this achievement with all my colleagues at NOCD who work tirelessly to provide the necessary treatment for those in need."
HEP has also committed to contributing to I AM ALS - PUSH FOR PROGRESS, an initiative aimed at promoting the continued authorization of the Act for ALS, which was established in 2021. Following this initiative, the Filchock family has pledged to match HEP's contribution, further amplifying the impact of Dr. McGrath's recognition.
