3Strands Global Foundation Welcomes Will Ferrier as Chief Operating Officer
3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF), a premier organization dedicated to combating human trafficking, has recently announced the appointment of Will Ferrier as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO). This strategic move comes at a crucial time as 3SGF looks to expand its array of tech-driven initiatives aimed at preventing trafficking and enhancing services for survivors.
Effective immediately, Ferrier will oversee the foundation’s global operations, a role that includes scaling the PROTECT program, which is recognized as the foremost prevention education initiative in the United States. He will also manage several direct service programs, including The Table, a drop-in center in Sacramento, and Employ + Empower, a job placement program designed with a trauma-informed approach for survivors.
The selection of Ferrier marks an exciting phase for 3SGF, which has recently achieved significant milestones, such as the implementation of TATE 2.0 tailored for the telecommunications sector and its inclusion in the OpenAI People-First AI Fund.
Ashlie Bryant, CoFounder and CEO of 3SGF, expressed her enthusiasm for Ferrier's appointment, emphasizing his extensive background in strategic operations and program management. "Will brings invaluable expertise and a proven history of operational excellence that is crucial as we embark on our next chapter," she said. With plans to integrate advanced technologies like artificial intelligence into their efforts against exploitation, aligning Ferrier’s leadership with their vision will be critical in ensuring that their initiatives are not just effective but also scalable and profoundly impactful.
Ferrier’s previous tenure at Intel Corporation, where he was a senior leader with a focus on open-source software and digital innovation, has equipped him with the skills necessary for his new role. A graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, Ferrier is committed to utilizing technology to drive social change. Addressing his return to action, Ferrier remarked, "I am honored to join 3Strands Global Foundation at such a pivotal moment. The mission to prevent, empower, and unite in the fight against human trafficking has never been more urgent. I am eager to collaborate with this dedicated team to streamline operations and expand our global reach."
3SGF operates on a three-pillar strategy: Prevent, Empower, and Unite, aimed at delivering specialized educational programs and providing vital services to communities nationwide. Their initiatives extend beyond individual support as they also engage in systemic advocacy for legislative changes that better protect vulnerable populations. Since its inception, 3Strands has reached more than one million individuals and remains committed to bridging the gap between direct services and sustainable public policies aimed at increasing protections for those at risk.
