Experience the Enchanting World of Usaginonedoko
Starting from May 21, 2025, SFT GALLERY, located within the National Art Center in Tokyo, will host the highly anticipated exhibition "The World of Usaginonedoko." This marks the first time in a decade since the last exhibition of Usaginonedoko at the same venue back in 2015. Over the years, the brand has continued to deepen and expand its exploration of nature's aesthetic beauty through innovative products.
One of the standout creations from Usaginonedoko is the "Sola cube." This exquisite piece features plants encased within a transparent acrylic cube, allowing us to appreciate the beautiful world crafted by nature in a three-dimensional form. It serves as a visual encyclopedia that brings the often overlooked beauty of the natural world into our everyday lives.
The exhibition will not only display the beloved "Sola cube," which has remained a popular staple for over 20 years since the brand's establishment, but it will also showcase various other stunning products. Attendees can expect to see the tile-like acrylic encapsulated specimens, known as "Sola tile," and the mesmerizing "Prism," which utilizes dichroic prisms to create a stunning array of colors through the interplay of light.
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness the beauty of natural materials such as plants, minerals, and animals, all elevated by Usaginonedoko's distinctive perspective and techniques. This exhibition promises to be a feast for the senses, enticing attendees to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature as interpreted through the lens of contemporary design.
