T. Rowe Price Strengthens Its Commitment to Wealth Advisors with Expanded Engagement Strategy

T. Rowe Price Enhances Engagement with Wealth Advisors

T. Rowe Price, a prominent global investment management firm based in Baltimore, is taking significant steps to deepen its collaboration with wealth advisors. As the financial landscape becomes increasingly complex, advisors are looking for tailored services to meet diverse client needs. In response, T. Rowe Price is ramping up its U.S. Intermediaries Wealth Management business to better support these professionals.

Growing Advisor Relationships

The firm is focusing on broadening its field sales coverage, expanding teams dedicated to wealth leadership, and adding product specialists. This initiative is crucial as financial advisors navigate a rapidly changing marketplace characterized by intricate market dynamics and a heightened demand for personalized wealth solutions. According to Kevin Collins, the head of T. Rowe Price's U.S. Intermediaries, the firm is committed to evolving its offerings to align with current advisor and client needs.

Expanding Resources and Expertise

T. Rowe Price is set to enhance how it connects advisors to valuable resources, expertise, and support. This includes offering tailored insights on tax-optimized drawdown strategies, customizable resources such as Portfolio Construction Solutions, and a wide array of investment products, including alternative investments and actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The firm aims not only to provide financial tools but also to deliver rich research insights and practice management guidance to help advisors strengthen their client relationships.

Strategic Team Additions

As part of this expansion, T. Rowe Price is adding over 50 new client-facing roles across broker-dealer and registered investment advisor (RIA) teams. This includes new national account leadership roles and specialists focusing on alternatives, ETFs, and model portfolios. Two industry veterans have joined the firm to lead these initiatives. Kevin Johnson is now spearheading the firm's wealth research strategy, collaborating with manager research teams and discretionary model teams to enhance distribution relationships. Johnson brings over 30 years of industry experience, recently serving as the head of platform distribution at Allspring Global Investments.

Meanwhile, Ryan Bauer will oversee strategy development and execution for T. Rowe Price’s largest RIA relationships, leveraging his 15 years of experience in the asset management industry, including significant roles within Deutsche Bank’s DWS Group.

Commitment to Advisors and Clients

T. Rowe Price’s expansion reflects its ongoing commitment to support advisors while addressing the challenges they face in a shifting market. By expanding field sales coverage and enhancing product offerings and insights, the firm positions itself as a critical partner for advisors navigating complex financial landscapes. As Kevin Collins stated, the firm recognizes the momentum in its Wealth business and sees further opportunities to serve the evolving needs of advisors and their clients better.
