New Childcare App 'mila-e Oyako Techo' Launched in Tsukuba Mirai City

New Childcare App 'mila-e Oyako Techo' Launches in Tsukuba Mirai City

Mirabo, a company specializing in services for local governments, has announced the launch of its new childcare application titled 'mila-e Oyako Techo' in Tsukuba Mirai City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This significant development is set to commence on May 18, 2026, as part of a broader initiative to enhance support services for families raising children.

Background of 'mila-e Oyako Techo'

Starting from 2024, Tsukuba Mirai City will incorporate a series of digital parenting support services developed by Mirabo. These include the initial version of the application known as 'Tsukuba Mirai City Morutto! Childrearing Support Navigator', an online reservation service called 'mila-e Reservation', and a digital questionnaire for infant health assessments referred to as 'mila-e Checkup'. The new app aims to further strengthen companion-type support for childcare families, empowering them through technology.

The updated 'mila-e Oyako Techo' will stream seamlessly with health check records and vaccination histories, incorporating a connection with 'mila-e Checkup' and the 'My Number Portal'. Previously, parents were required to manually input health check and vaccination data into the app. With the new functionalities in place, this information will now be automatically displayed on the app, virtually eliminating manual data entry.

Features of 'mila-e Oyako Techo'

In addition to this crucial upgrade, the app will retain existing features that cater to the needs of families. Users will receive timely notifications based on their child's age and development through email and push notifications. A vaccination scheduler will help prevent missed vaccinations and errors in vaccination intervals. Moreover, parents can track growth charts and infant health check records in their personalized section, resembling an electronic maternal and child health handbook.

The city also plans to expand these digital services to encompass more health check solutions, aiming for the operation of digital questionnaires for 2-year-3-month dental checkups, 3-year checkups, and 5-year checkups by 2026. The goal is to create an environment where families can nurture their children comfortably and securely, facilitated by robust support systems through ICT.
