A New Partnership to Streamline Rental Storage Services in Kyushu

On January 2026, a new operational support scheme for trunk room management called the 'Partner System' will be launched by AreaLink Inc. in conjunction with JR Kyushu Consultants, a subsidiary of the prominent JR Kyushu Group. This program marks a significant milestone as it is the first of its kind in the Kyushu region, aimed at helping streamline trunk room operations.

AreaLink, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has a successful history operating one of Japan's largest rental trunk room brands, 'Hello Storage.' With a mission to revolutionize the storage business, the company is expanding its innovative 'Partner System' from its base in Tokyo to Kyushu, thereby supporting local operators starting from the ground up.

The 'Partner System' is a comprehensive support program designed for storage businesses, encompassing everything from acquiring new properties to managing customer engagement, and even handling cancellations and additional services like contract renewals and regular maintenance. This all-in-one service allows operators to focus on their core business while benefiting from the expertise of AreaLink to enhance operational efficiency.

In response to growing demand, AreaLink's intention is to assist JR Kyushu Consultants with 15 of their trunk room properties in the Kitakyushu area, consisting of 440 rooms. This partnership aims not only to improve the efficiency of existing storage facilities but also to facilitate growth and expansion in the region's trunk room market.

So far, AreaLink's 'Partner System' has successfully expanded its support to 28 companies and 165 properties nationwide, totaling approximately 6,109 units. The company plans to further scale this initiative, aiming to bolster customer satisfaction and create an environment that ensures a seamless user experience in the trunk room sector.

Understanding the Partner System

The Partner System represents an innovative approach to the trunk room industry by offering a business partnership model that allows stakeholders to access comprehensive services from property setup through to service provision. Responsibilities covered in this program include customer acquisition, contract management, and even immediate resolution of issues that may arise during operation.

By leveraging the considerable knowledge and proven track record of AreaLink, partners can expect a reduction in labor costs, save on system development expenses, and see an increase in occupancy rates, driving up revenues. Notably, 90% of the rental income generated through this partnership will be returned to partner enterprises, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship that can drive collective success.
