Redesigning the Future of Comprehensive Care by 2040: A New Approach

Designing the Future of Comprehensive Care for 2040

On May 18, 2025, the Next Generation Care Management Research Association, led by Seed Planning Inc., will host a significant research conference on the theme of "Designing the Future of Comprehensive Care by 2040 through Community Proactivity". This event will delve into innovative approaches to creating a sustainable and inclusive community care system, highlighting the importance of active participation from all stakeholders: residents, businesses, and government agencies.

About the Conference

The conference aims to challenge the prevailing reliance on national and corporate solutions, advocating for a shift towards localized initiatives where community resources can be leveraged in collective wisdom and action. The first part of the conference will feature a presentation by Mr. Naruyuki Takamuro, Vice President of the Next Generation Care Management Research Association, based on the draft ideas for the 10th Care Insurance Business Plan. He will discuss the essential role of municipalities in fostering a robust community care framework, drawing insights from the newly crafted ideas that consider the changing landscape of care management.

Following this, a symposium will spotlight the "Takoishi Care System" from Takotown, Chiba Prefecture, which has garnered nationwide attention for its innovative, participatory approach to care. Two practitioners will share their experiences and explore the potential of cohabitative care models, emphasizing the need for all-in participation within communities.
