The original store, a mere 1.25 tsubo in size, set the stage for the brand's evolution, which has continuously embraced growth and change over the past 16 years.

Located in the vibrant Sapporo Stellar Place, the store's first iteration featured a humble wall-mounted setup, and four years later, the concept expanded with the launch of ‘sozai LAUREL’ on the third floor, emphasizing edible ingredients as the foundation of skincare. In 2015, the brand transitioned from LAUREL to SHIRO, expanding the store further, now including the SHIRO LIFE project. Over time, the store has undergone several transformations, culminating in its latest renovation, which sees the store occupying an impressive 30 tsubo space in its current location since September 2019.

Staying true to the commitment of “not creating new waste,” the renovation embraces creativity with pre-existing materials. The design aesthetic captures the snowy landscape of Hokkaido through weather graphics on the floor, while the blue expanded metal from the previous store is repurposed to play a new role that adds depth and illumination to the space.
