Strengthening Community Support through Sustainable Distribution
In the ever-evolving landscape of community engagement, Living Proceed Inc. (headquartered in Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Tokyo) and Fukushima Living Newspaper Co. (based in Fukushima City, Fukushima) have made remarkable strides in creating robust distribution networks that resonate closely with local voices. This collaboration embodies a commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of the community through meaningful information dissemination.
A Focus on Senior Area Partners
Central to this initiative is the involvement of Area Partners, many of whom are senior citizens who continue to contribute to their communities even into their 80s. Their dedication and wisdom are invaluable assets, enabling Living Proceed and Fukushima Living to fulfill their roles as “media living with the community.” Not only do they share information, but they also foster a sense of connection and empowerment among residents.
A Shift Toward Sustainability: Four-Day Distribution
In light of recent challenges such as extreme weather conditions and fluctuating labor availability, both organizations recognize the critical need to provide a safe and manageable working environment for their Area Partners. To address this, a significant change in the distribution schedule has been introduced. Starting from the August 2025 issue, the distribution period will be extended from two days to a maximum of four days, allowing for a more flexible approach to meeting both environmental and personal needs.
This alteration aims to:
- - Enable distribution at a pace that respects the current weather conditions.
- - Provide a work environment that accommodates individual health and lifestyle schedules.
- - Foster an atmosphere where each distributor can work in a way that feels authentic to them.
- - Establish a sustainable distribution network that remains responsive to community needs.
This adjustment is not merely a revision of the distribution schedule; it is a significant step forward in creating a compassionate framework that prioritizes people and seeks to shape a collaborative future for local communities.
The Vision of Fukushima Living Newspaper: “Together with the Community”
For over 40 years, Fukushima Living Newspaper has thrived thanks to the unwavering support of its clients and the collaborative spirit of Area Partners. The mission is clear: to continue providing enriching information to its readers while enhancing the aspect of safety and reassurance in an ever-changing societal landscape. The commitment to adapting flexibly to societal changes will ensure the ongoing publication of valuable community information.
Living Proceed's Commitment: “Beyond Logistics”
As part of the Seino Last Mile Group, Living Proceed is pioneering new forms of job opportunities that extend beyond traditional logistics. The goal is to realize a society where everyone can work comfortably and sustainably. Many Area Partners represent various demographics, including seniors, parents, and those reentering the workforce, each finding an ideal working balance in their lives. Besides distribution, Living Proceed is also diversifying its approach by engaging in short-term work activities like cleaning and property photography, helping to convert local challenges into job opportunities.
A Glimpse into the Future: Commitment to the Community
To the readers of “LIVING Fukushima” and “LIVING Koriyama,” to the dedicated Area Partners who deliver with pride, and to all those who support the community's future, we pledge to uphold the values of “delivering together” and “connecting together.” Our mission is to continually provide warm, reliable information that enriches daily life.
