Embrace the Bizarre: Oddities Expo Set to Dazzle San Antonio This August

Oddities and Curiosities Expo 2025

Mark your calendars for an extraordinary experience as the Oddities and Curiosities Expo makes its debut in San Antonio, Texas, on August 2nd and 3rd, 2025. Taking place at the Henry B. González Convention Center, this one-of-a-kind event is a celebration of the weird, wonderful, and downright bizarre.

What to Expect

The expo promises an eclectic mix of hundreds of vendors and artists showcasing peculiar items such as taxidermy pieces, preserved animal specimens, dark art, Halloween collectibles, and handmade oddities. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a curious enthusiast, there’s something for everyone to discover.

This year, the expo will be traveling to 40 cities across the U.S. and Canada, turning every venue into a playground for all things strange and unusual. Attendees can shop for unique finds while also enjoying a variety of interactive experiences that go beyond mere shopping. Photo opportunities, tarot readings, and sideshow performances will ensure an immersive experience that captures the imagination.

Education and Engagement

One of the highlights of the Oddities Expo is its commitment to education. Guests can purchase tickets for exclusive workshops, including a full-day taxidermy class where participants will create their own mounts. This hands-on learning opportunity is perfect for those with a passion for the macabre, while also ensuring ethical sourcing, as all materials are derived from sustainably sourced specimens.

Michelle and Tony Cozzaglio, the founders of this incredible event, initiated the expo in Oklahoma in response to a growing demand for spaces that celebrate the odd and unusual. "We created this expo to provide unique small businesses and artists with a platform to thrive, fostering a community where everyone can express themselves freely," Michelle shared.

Features of the Event

The expo is set to deliver not just shopping opportunities, but also an environment filled with engaging experiences. With a commitment to excellence and a vibrant DIY ethos, the event promises a curated selection of exhibitors showcasing the best in outrageous artistry and rare collectibles. Michelle added, "Every year, we strive to enhance the experience for our guests and exhibitors alike."

The taxidermy class on Saturday, August 2nd runs from 10 AM to 4 PM for $225, while the Beginner Entomology class on Sunday features sessions at both 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 4 PM, priced at $150. Classes will be hosted by Heather Clark from Sleeping Sirens Art & Oddities and includes all necessary materials.
