The Exciting Kids' Festival 2026: A Summer of Learning and Fun
Mark your calendars for
July 18-19 at Tokyo Dome City and
July 24-26 at the Nihonbashi area, as the
Kids' Festival 2026 promises an unforgettable experience for families. This year, the event is set to expand its engagement with a two-venue setup, enhancing the fun and educational value it offers, especially focusing on sustainability topics that resonate with today's youth.
Daiichi Engei, a leader in flower and greenery related businesses, is set to host engaging workshops designed to immerse children and their families in learning about the
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). As part of its fourth consecutive participation, Daiichi Engei aims to create an environment where children can explore practical approaches to sustainability through hands-on experiences.
Workshop Highlights at Tokyo Dome City
At the Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall, the highlight will be a creative workshop featuring the transformation of discarded flowers into beautiful
dried flower arrangements. Children will have the chance to repurpose flowers that can no longer be sold due to imperfections, turning what would be waste into delightful keepsakes.
Participants will pack colorful dried flowers into bottle-shaped containers, culminating in one-of-a-kind floral art pieces that reflect their creative vision. This activity not only sparks imagination but also teaches the importance of recycling and ecological responsibility. Children will get to take their crafted pieces home, making for an engaging summer project or a keepsake from their festival visit.
In addition to the workshop, the booth will present informative panels outlining Daiichi Engei’s commitment to the
SDGs. Additionally, a
photo spot adorned with artificial flowers will be available, providing families with delightful photo opportunities that encapsulate their festival memories.
Be sure to reserve your spot early as participation requires pre-booking, and spots will fill up quickly!
Discover Traditional Crafts in Nihonbashi
The Nihonbashi venue will offer an exciting cultural experience by focusing on the traditional Japanese craft of
Edo Wind Chime painting. Renowned for its artistry, this workshop allows children to engage with the craftsmanship of
Shinohara Wind Chimes. Participants will learn how to paint on the inside of the glass, a unique technique that highlights the traditional methods used in creating these beautiful summer symbols.
The workshop will be designed to be accessible to children of all ages, ensuring that even first-timers can participate confidently. As they paint their unique designs, children will also explore the significance of this craft and its cultural relevance. Completed wind chimes can be taken home as treasured memories or gifts, adding a personal touch to the summer festivities.
