Originally scheduled for June 27 as 'STEAM FESTIVAL 2026', the event was postponed due to a typhoon. However, with a revamped lineup and venue, the festival promises to be an engaging experience for local children.

Purpose of the Event

This initiative aims to fuse music with STEAM education, fostering interest in technology and creative expression among children. The event provides a platform for students to learn through interactive experiences, encouraging their curiosity and creativity, while also promoting the significance of STEAM education to parents and community members in attendance.

Activities and Experiences

The festival will feature various activities tailored primarily for elementary and middle school students. Participants can look forward to:

• - Creating Bon Odori Music: Using the GarageBand app on iPads to compose traditional festival music.
• - Traditional Uchiwa Design: Learning about the structure of traditional fans while engaging in design production.
• - VJ Experience: Diving into the digital visual arts.
• - DJ Experience: Engaging in live DJing activities.

These experiences are designed to provide children with a comprehensive understanding of music, design, and digital technology, while stimulating their inventive thinking.

Participation and Special Offers

Children who participate in the STEAM workshops and respond to an activity survey will receive Pokémon cards from HARERUYA as a special giveaway! The collected survey responses will be utilized by the organizers to support STEAM education development efforts.
