Kawajun Corporation, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has recently been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s significant grant initiative aimed at promoting wage increases for medium and small enterprises. The announcement was made public on December 1, 2025, marking an exciting development for the company.

Overview of the Selected Project

This initiative focuses on strengthening Kawajun's manufacturing foundation and optimizing its entire supply chain. The center of activity will be the Tochigi Prefecture Imaichi Technical Center, where investments will be made in automation and labor-saving logistics equipment. The estimated scale of this investment is approximately 7 billion yen, aimed at establishing a next-generation logistics framework capable of supporting the expansion of KEYUCA, a key business unit of Kawajun.

Project Plan

The project, named "Next-Generation Logistics Reform to Support Business Expansion and Growth through Store Increases," targets the enhancement of operational efficiency and to meet the increasing demands associated with a growing number of stores.

Salary Increase Goals

Through the implementation of this subsidized project, Kawajun aims to improve employee treatment and promote sustainable wage increases. The company has set a goal to raise the average total salary of employees involved in the project by 6% by the end of the project period. This is part of a larger strategy to ensure that employees benefit directly from the company's growth and innovation initiatives.

Location of Subsidized Projects

The subsidized activities will take place within Kiwadajima in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is strategically chosen for its logistics potential and technological advancements.
