  • - Lot 0: A storage facility for intermediate and high-level radioactive waste with a capacity of 3,500 cubic meters.
  • - Lot 1: A system designed to safely retrieve waste from existing storage sites, capable of processing up to 3 cubic meters per day.
  • - Lot 2: A fully automated processing line for incinerating, compressing, and solidifying radioactive waste.
  • - Lot 3: A near-surface disposal facility for short-lived radioactive waste with a capacity of 55,000 cubic meters, designed to remain operational for 300 years.

NUKEM has been responsible for the comprehensive project management regarding design, construction oversight, and procurement. The ICSR facility is set to commence full operations in 2024, exemplifying Ukraine's commitment to establishing a waste management infrastructure that meets international safety standards, ensuring the permanent and secure handling of radioactive waste.
