Delta's Expansion in EMEA with New Eco-Friendly Headquarters

Delta Electronics, a global leader in energy management and intelligent green solutions, has officially announced a significant milestone in its expansion efforts within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The company plans to construct a new eco-friendly headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, located strategically in the renowned Park 20|20 business campus.

Project Overview

This cutting-edge facility, covering approximately 9,300 square meters, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. It will house over 350 employees engaged in research and development, business development, management, and various other essential functions. The design of this building integrates Delta's energy-efficient and smart solutions, which aims to achieve net-zero energy consumption and secure the coveted BREEAM Outstanding environmental certification.

Marianne Schuurmans, Mayor of Haarlemmermeer, expressed her enthusiasm regarding Delta's move, highlighting the region's excellent international connectivity and dynamic economy. She stated, "Delta Electronics represents a commitment to energy efficiency, reinforcing our vision for a sustainable future."

This sentiment is echoed at the national level by Hilde van der Meer, Commissioner of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), who expressed gratitude for the long-standing relationship between Delta and the agency. She mentioned that Delta's innovative technologies significantly contribute to ongoing developments in the Netherlands.

Strategic Location

Dalip Sharma, President and CEO of Delta Electronics EMEA, underscored the strategic importance of Hoofddorp, given its proximity to key customers, partners, and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport—the unrivaled gateway to the European market. The selection of Park 20|20 aligns with Delta's values of sustainability and circular economy principles.

The new five-story office building will provide around 350 modern workspaces for Delta's growing EMEA team. In partnership with GS, the building is being designed by MVSA Architects to foster innovation and collaboration, featuring a central five-story atrium that brings natural light into the core of the building. Additionally, it will host a dedicated showroom for presenting Delta's latest technologies, advanced meeting rooms, and creative and relaxation spaces.

Employee Well-Being and Eco-Friendliness

An advanced climate ceiling will enhance employee well-being through radiant heating and cooling, minimizing drafts. To facilitate the transition to low-emission transport, the building will also include 126 underground parking spaces equipped with Delta electric vehicle charging stations. Sustainability is at the core of the building’s design, aiming for net-zero energy consumption through a rooftop installation of approximately 715 solar panels. These panels are expected to generate more than 335,500 kWh of renewable electricity annually, meeting the facility's estimated annual consumption.

The architectural design prioritizes energy efficiency, complemented by the building's connection to Park 20|20’s geothermal heat pump system and a separate Delta energy storage system (ESS). This combination illustrates Delta's commitment to the highest environmental standards in pursuit of BREEAM Outstanding certification.

Conclusion

The establishment of this new headquarters will solidify Delta's presence in the EMEA region as a hub for operations, fostering innovation, supporting clients, and reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in energy-efficient solutions and sustainability.
