Watercrest St. Lucie West Donates Bus to Aid Local Children in Crisis Situations
Watercrest St. Lucie West's Generous Contribution
Watercrest Senior Living has taken a significant step towards community welfare by donating a bus from its St. Lucie West Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. This gesture aims to offer crucial support to local children during police rescues, raids, and other crisis situations, providing them with a nurturing environment during critical times.
The project is a collaborative initiative with the United Against Child Trafficking (UACT), where Bobi Kruemberg, the Executive Director of Watercrest St. Lucie West, also serves on the board of UACT. Recognizing the pressing need for a mobile medical rescue unit in the Port St. Lucie area, especially for children facing emergencies, Kruemberg decided to act following discussions within the organization. The donation comes after Watercrest St. Lucie West acquired an additional transport bus, enabling the organization to repurpose the old one for this noble cause.
Marc Vorkapich, Principal and CEO of Watercrest Senior Living Group, emphasized the company's commitment to serving a cause larger than themselves.
