Hitachi Joins the 150th Anniversary Project for Omori Station
Hitachi Ltd. has announced its involvement in a celebratory project for the 150th anniversary of JR Omori Station, scheduled for June 12, 2026. Partnering with East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and CLUB OMORI, Hitachi aims to contribute to the revival of the local community. This initiative, spearheaded by JR East, has set a platform, CLUB OMORI, to showcase and promote the history and charm of the Omori area over the next year.
Since establishing its base in Omori in 1972, Hitachi has been a key player in information systems and software development. The company has fostered innovation and faced numerous challenges alongside customers in critical sectors, including transportation, energy, telecommunications, and governmental affairs. Currently, Omori serves as the command center for Hitachi's digital business, exemplified by its data utilization platform, Lumada.
For many employees utilizing JR Omori Station daily, the locality represents more than just a workplace; it is an essential community for generating new value. As part of the 150th-anniversary celebrations, Hitachi seeks to express gratitude towards the area and share its historical experiences through various initiatives that generate excitement both internally and externally.
