ANELLA CAFE Expands with New Location in Hamamatsu

On May 7, 2026, ANELLA CAFE is set to open its fourth location in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. This latest addition marks the company's 28th establishment in Japan, and it promises to be a unique blend of a pet interaction cafe and a community support hub for those with disabilities.

Hamamatsu, one of Japan’s designated cities, boasts diverse attractions. It's not only known for its vibrant manufacturing sector, producing musical instruments and vehicles, but also for its mouthwatering local cuisine, including unagi (grilled eel) and gyoza (dumplings). The city is surrounded by natural beauty, featuring lakes, seas, and mountains, further enhancing its charm.

The new ANELLA CAFE Hamamatsu Central is conveniently located just a ten-minute walk from the Hamamatsu Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors.

The Concept of ANELLA CAFE

The name "ANELLA" means "angel" in Hawaiian, and the cafe’s interior reflects this sentiment with its calming, ocean-blue theme based on the brand's signature color, ANELLA Blue. The ambiance is designed to embody a classic Hawaiian vibe, complete with soothing Hawaiian music, creating a serene environment for all who enter.

Unlike typical animal cafes, ANELLA CAFE features areas dedicated not only to rescued dogs but also to rescued cats, which is a relatively rare concept in Japan. The Hamamatsu Central outlet will have both dogs and cats available for interactions, separated into distinct areas so that both dog and cat lovers can find joy in their experience.

As part of its opening campaign from May 7 to May 10, visitors can enjoy a 30-minute free entry period, allowing everyone to explore and connect with the animals at no charge.

More than Just a Cafe

ANELLA CAFE is more than just a place to bond with rescued animals; it also functions as a "B-type employment continuation support facility." This means that individuals with disabilities can gain hands-on experience in animal care and customer service within the cafe setting, facilitating their participation in society and aiding their personal development.

The space is envisioned to provide a nurturing environment for customers seeking the comfort of animals, families of rescued pets waiting for adoption, and staff who can thrive in a supportive and joyful workplace.

Corporate Vision by CEO Daisuke Ito

Daisuke Ito, the representative director of ANELLA Group, expressed his excitement about the opening of the Hamamatsu Central location. He emphasizes the importance of integrating ANELLA into the vibrant daily life of Hamamatsu, making it a place where people can have natural encounters with rescued animals.

Ito poignantly stated, “Saving one pet may not change the world, but for that one pet, the world will change forever.” His vision is to create an environment where rescued animals, customers, and staff can coexist happily, making the cafe feel like a safe home for the animals and a place of pride and purpose for workers with disabilities.

The Future of ANELLA CAFE

As they work to build a society in which humans and animals can coexist naturally, ANELLA CAFE’s mission continues to evolve. The opening of this new location signifies the growth of their community-centered approach, focusing on rescue, connection, and empowerment for both animals and people.
