Roppongi Hills Bon Odori Festival 2025
The Roppongi Hills, operated by Mori Building Company, will host the
Roppongi Hills Bon Odori Festival 2025 from
August 22 to 24. Celebrating its 20th year, this festival embodies the essence of a traditional Japanese summer, providing an immersive experience for all visitors.
At the heart of the festivities lies a magnificent
yarai (a traditional structure), complete with food stalls and various games. In addition, the beloved
Keyaki-zaka Street will feature themed workshops aimed at children, enhancing the carnival atmosphere as we bid farewell to summer.

The main event consists of engaging
Bon Odori dances, showcasing Roppongi Hills' original performance,
Roppongi Gaku, as well as traditional arts from the Hokuriku region. Access to all these performances, including the Bon Odori, is free of charge.
Bon Odori - Dance of the People
Participating in the Bon Odori is a highlight for many, as this lively dance encourages everyone, young and old, to join in. Dancers are invited to groove around the grand
yarai to the tune of the original Roppongi song performed by the popular singer,
Jiro Roppongi. The event promises a captivating ambiance with crowds dressed in colorful yukatas, making it an unforgettable summer night.

Roppongi Gaku - A Community Celebration
The
Roppongi Gaku performance, entering its 17th year, features nearly 150 participants including local residents and employees, all showcasing their talent in an original performance based on traditional Japanese arts. Participants undergo an intensive rehearsal schedule for one and a half months prior to the festival, emphasizing community collaboration and cultural preservation.

Traditional Arts and Crafts
Engaging performances will also include traditional arts from various regions, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of Japan's heritage. Some highlights include
Kaga Banzei from Kanazawa City, showcasing the charm and skills passed down through generations.

Grand Hyatt Tokyo and new entrants like
Kurun Siam will offer affordable gourmet options.
