Exciting Announcement: The 2026 American Teachers Summit Invites Educators Nationwide

A Triumph for Educators: The 2026 American Teachers Summit

In an exciting development for educators nationwide, the American Teachers Alliance (ATA) has declared the upcoming 2026 American Teachers Summit, set to convene on October 3, 2026. This one-day event aims to revitalize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of educators, providing them an essential space to learn, laugh, and connect with peers.

A Day of Inspiration and Learning

Located at the Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Summit will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Many educators from North Carolina and beyond are encouraged to attend this inspiring gathering. The day features exceptional speakers, motivational sessions, and comedic performances specially crafted for teachers, ensuring a mix of professional development and entertainment.

The keynote address will be delivered by Carrie Grace, a well-known motivational speaker with a rich background in teaching. She will be complemented by a series of professional development workshops led by experienced educators and school leaders. Notably, comedy performances from Leslie Rob and Gerry Potoka will infuse humor into the realities of classroom life, helping to foster a sense of community among the attendees.

More Than Just Workshops

In addition to enriching professional development, the Summit offers participants the chance to network with fellow educators, explore exhibitor booths, and indulge in delicious meals throughout the day, making it a holistic educational event. The co-founder and Executive Director of the ATA, Amy Marshall, a dedicated educator with an impressive 18-year career, expressed the purpose of this Summit. She stated, “This Summit is distinct from typical education conferences. Our focus is on positively highlighting the dedication of teachers who work tirelessly for their students and communities.” Marshall emphasizes the importance of encouraging educators amid the prevalent negativity surrounding public education.

Professional Development Focus

The professional development sessions will dive into crucial topics like leadership practices, effective communication, and classroom management strategies. Participants can earn up to eight hours of professional development credit and will receive a certificate documenting their attendance, which they can present to their school district or relevant authorities when fulfilling continuing-education requirements.

Tickets are currently on sale, with an early-bird registration fee of $30 for ATA members and $50 for non-members, offered through September 25. With attendance capped at 150 educators, it's advised to secure a spot promptly. The ticket includes access to the entire Summit program, the professional development certificate, breakfast, lunch, and other valuable materials.
