Silfab Solar and Nexamp Forge an Eco-Friendly Solar Agreement in the USA
Silfab Solar and Nexamp Team Up for Sustainable Energy
In a significant move for renewable energy in the United States, Silfab Solar Inc. has secured a supply agreement with Nexamp, a leading independent renewable energy provider. This partnership marks a crucial step towards enhancing domestic solar technology and promoting U.S.-made products. As North America’s top manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules, Silfab is poised to deliver its latest commercial solar panels, showcasing advanced design and efficiency.
The collaboration will kick off with the delivery of an impressive 125 megawatts of solar panels by the end of the second quarter of 2025. Importantly, these panels will be crafted exclusively in the U.S. using cells produced at Silfab's cutting-edge manufacturing facility located in South Carolina. This initiative emphasizes the increasing demand for renewable energy sources, providing Nexamp with superior solar products to incorporate into its various projects across the nation.
Silfab’s President and CEO, Paolo Maccario, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "Our partnership provides Nexamp significant access to a superior U.S. solar product that enables them to further integrate domestic content into their project portfolios." Maccario highlighted the long-term vision, noting that the promise of American-made solar modules delivering clean energy to consumers will soon be a reality.
Nexamp’s CEO, Zaid Ashai, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the company’s commitment to building a dependable domestic supply chain for high-quality solar modules. As Nexamp expands its generating capacity in response to rising energy demands, this collaboration will not only create jobs but also boost energy independence for the U.S. As Ashai pointed out, "Silfab has an outstanding reputation for quality and will be an important part of our roadmap for growth."
In recent developments, Silfab has successfully secured $100 million in financing to bolster its solar cell manufacturing plant in South Carolina. The company also maintains a substantial module production facility on the West Coast, specifically in Washington, which is equipped with multiple active manufacturing lines. Silfab’s modules are designed using the latest technological advancements and adhere to the highest industry quality-control standards.
